Companies Referred to in S&B

As on the People page, the companies mentioned in the text of Schäffer and Budenberg: Precision Engineers are listed below. The companies are a mixture of business associates, resellers or agents, competitors, those owned by family members or a reference to industrial history. The tables are searchable either alphabetically, or choosing a place or type of business of your choice.

Some of these companies no longer exist or have changed their names over the years, through acquisitions and mergers. Quite often this is referenced in footnotes or the text in the book. Likewise, under the ‘Business’ column, the activity of the business might have changed from the period that was written about in the text.
