Sch\u00e4ffer and Budenberg: Precision Engineers<\/strong><\/em> refers to many people and companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The table below is a fairly comprehensive list of people mentioned in the book, over 920 names. They are a mixture of family members, sales agents, business contacts, industrialists, inventors, employees and their wives of both Sch\u00e4ffer & Budenberg and the Budenberg Gauge Company<\/a> as well as friends and neighbours of the families across the globe. Some names are from group photographs, and don’t necessarily appear in the text directly, but in the Appendices along with photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

POINTS TO NOTE: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Some women appear twice, once under their maiden name and once under their married name. <\/li>
  2. Some men appear twice because of different activities noted at different dates.<\/li>
  3. Some people have two addresses in Broadheath: The Budenberg Gauge Co. moved in August 2020 from Irlam, Cheshire to new premises in Stuart Road, Broadheath, Cheshire, hence Broadheath is listed twice.<\/li>
  4. The last column refers to a date, or dates, where there is a known event or connection, to the company or person, even though their activity might have continued for many years longer, either before or after the year mentioned. When there are two sets of dates, with a two year gap, the person was undertaking National Service.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Due to the strict privacy laws in Germany only a few living Germans are referenced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
